Start your day at the famous Shibuya Crossing to experience Tokyo’s bustling energy. To capture the perfect shot, head to one of the elevated viewpoints nearby, such as the Starbucks on the second floor or the Mag’s Park rooftop at Shibuya 109, for an overhead view of the crowds weaving through the intersection. For an action shot in the crossing itself, wait for the lights to change, stand at the edge of the crosswalk, and quickly take your photos as you walk along with the crowd. Early morning or dusk offers great lighting for photos, and the crossing is busiest around sunset, giving you a chance to capture the true hustle and vibrancy of Tokyo.
While at Shibuya:
Be sure to take some time to visit the Hachiko Statue. Located near Shibuya Station, this famous statue commemorates the loyal dog Hachiko, who waited for his owner every day at the station, even after his owner passed away. It's a popular meeting point and a lovely tribute to loyalty, making it a great photo opportunity during your visit.
